🏘️ Community
Auburn Area Connect Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Coffee for a Cause fundraiser this weekend at local coffee shops where 50 cents from each drink sale is donated equally to three nonprofits including Auburn Food Bank.
The event lasts for four days and features an interactive challenge on the Eventzee app limited to 500 players & offers local coffee lovers a chance to support these causes.
🚨 Crime
Former Auburn police officer Jeffrey Nelson—now in prison for a 2019 on-duty murder—will not face charges for the 2017 shooting death of Isaiah Obet because a review found not enough evidence and the city settled a lawsuit with Obet’s family for $1.25 million in 2020.
