- ➤ The Auburn Farmers Market, voted #1 in 2022 by American Farmland Trust, is held at Les Gove Park where local farmers and artisans sell fresh produce and craft items while offering live entertainment and free market totes—vending also spreads food assistance programs like EBT, SNAP Market Match, WIC and SFMNP plus seasonal Kid Kit giveaways on the third Sunday of June, July and August. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At Auburn City Council’s study session on May 12, Waste Management presented its 24th annual report showing that in 2024 it collected 7,577 tons of garbage along with litter bags, tires, bulky items, sharps and extra garbage while noting that residential numbers rose despite lower multi-family and commercial figures. The report also covered community outreach efforts—WM hosted two Recycle Right events and plans another on July 26 to inform residents about recycling. Auburn Reporter
