➤ Auburn man Kelly Vernon Sanders was sentenced to nearly nine years in prison for his role in a Bellevue burglary in September and a Renton burglary in August—both cases involved breaking into homes while residents were inside and led to his prosecution under a high priority repeat offender program. ➤ A 15-year-old boy pleaded guilty on June 2 to first-degree assault and unlawful possession of a firearm after shooting another teen near Auburn Sound Transit Station on May 27—he faces a sentence between two and three years—and will be sentenced on July 15. Auburn Reporter
