  • Auburn’s Parks and Rec office announced plans to celebrate July as Parks and Rec Month with community events in local parks—more details will be released soon.  Auburn Examiner

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • The King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Jean A. McLaughlin, a 64-year-old Auburn woman, as the victim of a two-car crash on June 30 at the intersection of A Street SE and 17th Street SE—caused by a 28-year-old female driver running a red light—that left McLaughlin dead at the scene and the other driver with minor injuries who was taken to the hospital.  Auburn Examiner

CRIME NEWS

  • A 22-year-old Kent man, Kyree-Brian Amar Jackson, was charged Wednesday, July 2 with first-degree murder after he allegedly ambushed Keivon C. Bias near a home on SE 323rd Street in Auburn on June 27—police said surveillance, cell phone data, and other evidence linked him to the fatal shooting.  Auburn Examiner
