ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Between July 21 and July 27, VRFA firefighters responded to incidents in Auburn and Pacific that included brush fires near Highway 18 and the White River, dumpster fires within one block, and calls for fall injuries and a child with an object in his nostril—firefighters with troopers and police worked to extinguish the fires, treat the injured, and investigate causes where needed. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An Auburn man was charged on July 24 with two counts of first-degree assault, one count of drive-by shooting and one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm—charges that followed a May 19 shooting at Isaac Evans Park where over 90 rounds were fired and two women were injured. - ➤ Auburn man Johnny Elias, 59, was sentenced today to 11 years in prison after he converted his garage into a lab to manufacture deadly fentanyl pills—he also had loaded firearms and a costly pill press that will be forfeited to the government. Auburn Examiner
