- ➤ Election preparations and early voting are underway for the Aug. 5 primary in Auburn and King County, where voters will choose incumbent Mayor Nancy Backus against two challengers—City Councilmember Yolanda Trout-Manuel and businessman Ronnie Morgan—while also electing candidates for two city council positions and King County Council District 7. Voters will decide on a replacement parks levy that would fund parks, trails and open spaces over the next six years. Auburn Reporter
