- ➤ A Seattle man was sentenced to 189 months in prison for second-degree murder after fatally shooting 18-year-old Jay Justin Andrew at Coppergate Apartments in Auburn on January 12th—his codefendant awaits trial set for Oct. 6. Auburn Reporter
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On July 28, Auburn officials updated the council on 40 active capital street projects valued at $135.8 million — many of which are in design or construction and span multiple years. Transportation planners also previewed the 2025 Neighborhood Traffic Safety Program, which will add speed cushions and measures to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists. Auburn Reporter
