ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Fire crews from Valley Regional Fire Authority, Puget Sound Fire, South King Fire, and King County Medic One responded to smoke reports on Aug. 13 in the 32500 block of 51st Ave South and quickly contained a blaze that had engulfed an abandoned Auburn structure—stopping the fire from spreading to nearby brush and trees.  Auburn Examiner

CRIME NEWS

  • King County paused referrals to its Restorative Community Pathways diversion program after a study found that 53.2% of juveniles with low-level felony charges reoffended within two years—misdemeanor referrals continue while a second review is pending.  Auburn Reporter
  • Auburn police are searching for a suspect who held two baristas at gunpoint at Bigfoot Java on 802 14th St. NE at about 5:30 p.m. on Aug 8—he fled on foot after stealing a tip jar and firing a shot into the roof without causing injuries.  Auburn Reporter
