CRIME NEWS
- ➤ The King County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding two stolen classic cars near Auburn—a green 1968 Camaro SS with black interior and a black and red 1967 Chevelle SS 396 with red interior—and urges anyone with tips to call 206-296-3311. Auburn Examiner
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At an Aug. 25 study session, Auburn City Council reviewed updates on improvements at Cedar Lanes Bike Park for the Recreation Biking Program and on a new Downtown Subarea Plan aimed at expanding housing and mixed-use areas downtown. Recreation Coordinator Kjerstin Lange said youth programs like Summer Ride have grown and the council will present the new plan to the planning commission in early October with a public hearing planned in early November — a step to shape Auburn’s future downtown.
