- ➤ Auburn's new theater on Auburn Avenue will provide a modern performance space and add a downtown park with public art that connects nearby venues. A Sept. 22 work session detailed plans backed by funds from developers, state, and park impact fees — design will continue through the end of 2025 with construction set to begin in Q1 2026. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Sept. 22, the Auburn City Council completed its review of an ordinance to end the interlocal agreement with King County District Court so Auburn can re-establish its municipal court by Jan. 1, 2027— the bill directs that the mayor appoint a judicial officer to set up the court in the Auburn Justice Center.
