➤ Auburn will host its 60th annual Veterans Parade and Observance on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m.—featuring nearly 4,000 participants along Main Street in a display of military vehicles, marching bands and veteran groups. The event honors veterans and active-duty personnel and includes a community breakfast, remembrance ceremony and other related activities throughout the day. Auburn Reporter

GOVERNMENT NEWS

➤ Officials at WSDOT warned that heavy rains led to clogged drains and dangerous standing water on several major roads in western Washington. They urged drivers to allow more time, maintain extra space between vehicles, and obey road closures—steps taken to keep travelers safe. KOMO News
