GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After passing the U.S. House on April 10 by a 220-208 vote, the SAVE Act (H.R. 22) moves to the Senate and state officials warn it will require voters to show in-person proof of citizenship. Congressman Adam Smith said the measure could cost Washington over $361 million and may disenfranchise more than a million eligible voters if it becomes law. Auburn Reporter
